How Our Live Online Classes Work

At Golden Sparrow, school happens live, with a real teacher, every class day from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM IST. That's about three and a half hours of focused learning, leaving the rest of the day for practice, play, sport or rest. Every lesson is recorded, so nothing is lost.

How teaching works

Live on Google Meet

All classes are held live on Google Meet, a free, familiar platform that works on a laptop, tablet or smartphone. A laptop or tablet is preferred, but a phone is enough to join.

Every lesson recorded in Google Classroom

Every session is recorded and uploaded to Google Classroom. If your child misses a class because of illness, travel or a competition, they can watch the recording and bring any questions to their teacher at the next live class.

Homework and assessments

Students get regular homework and assessments, completed and submitted through Google Classroom. Evaluation combines written examinations with activity-based assessments, giving a well-rounded picture of each child's learning.

What you need at home

  • A laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera and microphone
  • A steady internet connection
  • A quiet corner to learn in
  • For younger children, an adult nearby during class
